BAR RESCUE LAS VEGAS GAY BAR CODE
The work was beyond shoddy and would have never met code standards (The show doesn’t pull permits for any of the work it does) I cannot speak to the future of GIPSY, beyond what is on the Facebook page.

BAR RESCUE LAS VEGAS GAY BAR UPDATE
Update July 11, 2020: Gipsy has been torn down. The bar need MUCH more help than that show could have ever provided, and that is why the bar has been completely gutted. The “completely redone sound system” consisted of a Mackie microphone mixer and 2 refurbished Pioneer CDJ 1000’s. Taffer and his team of industry experts understand the science behind a.
BAR RESCUE LAS VEGAS GAY BAR SERIES
Bar Rescue is a docu-reality series featuring veteran nightlife expert Jon Taffer as he seeks to revamp and rescue bars on the brink. They didn’t even touch the back room or bathrooms. A well run bar can be a money-making machine, but a poorly run one can be an owner’s worst nightmare. Oh, and that hideous “Gay ‘Ol Time” sign. Inside the bar, all they did was drape a bunch of fabric, fill the dance floor with furniture and slap on some paint. Bar Rescue has a fixed budget to “rescue” each bar and the majority of that was spent on exterior paint and signage/lighting.

There are other Vegas venues (both gay and straight) doing much, much worse, including prostitution, forcing employees to work for free because checks won’t clear, liquor law violations, etc. Editors are instructed to edit the show a certain way, and producers “guide” the people involved to get the result they want for entertainment purposes. Having worked in television, I can tell you, without a doubt, there is a process. This was considered a slap in the face to the gay community with the unusually bright lighting behind the bar. I think Las Vegas will be very proud of this season of ‘Bar Rescue. We have also found out that the Gay Ol Time signage was edited out of the final show of Bar Rescue. You’re going to see a lot of what’s wonderful about Las Vegas. They are trying to keep their employees working. The depth that people are in, they have nothing. It’s very heartbreaking, some of these stories. It’s far more personal than a typical ‘Bar Rescue.’ Those are the kinds of things we’re dealing with this year. One family lost their house three days before we showed up - with four young children. “These are businesses that were succeeding before the pandemic hit. The episodes will be marked by a major change: “This season, these are not failed owners,” he said. “A lot of these technologies we’ve infused into this season of ‘Bar Rescue’ because we want people to see them,” he said. The eighth season will incorporate some new technologies that address issues raised by the pandemic, he said, such as a system that scans hands for bacterial or viral elements, or ultra-violet ceiling fans that sanitize the air. “Not only do I live here, but I think our city has been affected by the pandemic more than any other,” said host Jon Taffer. PDT on the Paramount Network, is set entirely in Las Vegas.
